PRESIDENTS REPORT

Not a good week on the playing fields with the Colts losing to Collegians in the Qualifying Final. The good thing is we have another chance this week to stay alive in the Finals against Whitfords at Wanneroo Show Grounds.

The integrated boys kept the ball rolling with a win against Warnbro and their finals start on Saturday at 3PM against CBC GREEN at Morris Buzzacott Reserve.

The 3rd’s also start their finals campaign this week after a week off for finishing as minor premiers. The game is at the club against Collegians at 2.30pm.

So all the best to all teams on the weekend.

The annual dinner is on Saturday September 19th at the Football Club. Tickets available shortly. The Price is $50.

Meals are still on at the Club on Thursday nights. So if you want a nice meal come on down and enjoy a coldy as well.

Until next week stay safe, enjoy and let’s have 3 wins on the weekend.

COLTS MATCH REPORT (QUALIFYING FINAL)

After a good start I think the boys were a bit shell shocked how quickly collegians regrouped and took control, even though we suggested at ¼ time they would regroup. A number of things we knew should be done were not done. However we have 2nd chance so we use and sure will bounce back. One week at a time now. I don’t think we could play that bad again. We will learn.

INTEGRATED FOOTBALL MATCH REPORT (22/8/15)

Saturday 22/8 saw the integrated team not only play its last home and away match but also front up a bit earlier for our team photo. Thank you to team Bazzo who leapt many an obstacle to take the guys (and girls) photo.

This week’s match saw us play Warnbro, who will not make this year’s finals but they were ready to play from the first siren, whilst most of our players were still smiling for the camera (thanks to the heckler on the balcony for reminding me that I can change the side around but could you please let the game run longer than 30 seconds next time Mr Hewitt).

Quarter time came and we spoke to the team about the slippery conditions from the rain earlier this week and reminded them to secure possession and kick out wide away from the congestion. The team began to patch together some good passages of play and we increased our lead to run out winners 8.7 to 2.1.

This week we play CBC Green @ Morris Buzacott Reserve 3pm in the first final. Win we progress through to the G/F, lose and the season is over.

Good Luck to all other teams this weekend and thanks once again to all the volunteers that get our team on the park each week, but a special mention to Gordon (Yogi’s best mate) for doing the goals and also young Ethan Bazzo for the scoreboard work.
